Felixstowe Town station on 7 March 1970 and a Metro-Cammell 3-car unit (50270 + 59102 + 50280) with an excursion which started from Stratford (E) via Bishops Stortford to Sheringham and Cromer. Leslie Foster.

DMU car E51300 waits at a much reduced Felixstowe Town station with the 16.46 to Ipswich on 13 June 1971. Tom Burnham.

Stood at the former Great Eastern Railway terminus at Felixstowe Town, A Cravens Class 105 two-car DMU formed of Driving Trailer Composite Lavatory (DTCL) E56467 & Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) E51265, had arrived with a service from Ipswich on April 28th 1980. Rationalisation had taken place at Felixstowe Town with the track layout reduced to just a single line. The station still had some 1950's British Railways Dark Blue, Eastern Region enamel signs in-situ. Martyn Hilbert.
